Floyd county sheriff's deputies discovered and destroyed some of the largest marijuana plants they have ever found.

Sheriff John K. Blackburn says last week, a helicopter pilot saw the pot field on the side of a mountain in Hi Hat and reported it.

Several deputies went to the area and found 42 pot plants that were nearly 13 feet tall.

They estimate it had a street value of 65-thousand dollars.

The deputies burned the pot plants.

There are no arrests yet.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Floyd County Sheriff's Department.
