Severe weather looks likely on Saturday afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 2 p.m. Saturday and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
A Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy, patrolling a rural highway in the Mount Victory area, got quite a surprise and it was caught on his cruiser's camera.
A bear ran right in front of his car.
He was able to stop in time and did not hit it.
The deputy tried to shine his light into the nearby brush, but the bear was gone.
We've been telling you about a growing number of bear sightings across the state.
