Deputy Jailer Facing Charges

Updated: Mon 10:01 PM, Jan 24, 2011

Deputy Jailer William Sizemore was taken into custody on January 15th for something he allegedly did five days earlier.

"There was a warrant obtained for the Deputy Jailer here in Clay County for harassing communications and assault 4th," said Sheriff Kevin Johnson.

Sizemore allegedly assaulted his girlfriends 17-year-old daughter.
Sheriff Johnson says this is the first time anything like this has happened at the residence.

"There's not been any prior calls to the residence or anything of that nature. This is the first knowledge that we've had of any type of problems between the two individuals."

Johnson says even though Sizemore is a jail employee, he was treated no differently.

"If we obtain a warrant we're gonna do our job and serve the warrant," said Johnson.

Sizemore's arraignment is scheduled for January 31st.
Both charges he faces are misdemeanors.
