Deputy involved in crash

A sheriff's deputy is recovering after a crash badly damages his cruiser.

The Laurel County deputy's cruiser hit a car on the Hal Rogers Parkway Saturday night.

The sheriff's office says the other car turned into the deputy's path.

The drivers, Deputy Kirk Mays and Sharlette Mills, 50, were taken to the hospital along with another officer in the cruiser, Roy Ball.

All three have been released.
