From CBS affiliate WJHL:
A Dickenson County, Virginia man faces felony murder charges after the body of another man was found in his driveway.
Terry Sheckler, 52, of Indian Creek Road, was arrested Saturday afternoon and has been charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and obstruction of justice, according to a written statement from the Dickenson County Sheriff's Office.
Investigator Kenneth Hill said the Sheriff's Office got a call earlier in the day about a man lying on a bridge going toward the Indian Creek Road home.
Deputies responded along with deputies from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, because the road is on the county line. The owner of the home barricaded himself inside, and members of the Virginia State Police's tactical team forced their way in and detained him, Hill said.
The body of the man found dead, Brian Sutherland, 40, has been sent to the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke, Va. for an autopsy, according to the statement.
Sheckler is being held at the Haysi Regional Jail without bond.
