A Floyd County daycare the state shut down last month is now back open.

State social services officials issued an emergency suspension and closed the Dinosaur Playland Daycare in Prestonsburg during the investigation into two year old Watson Adkins' death.
Investigators claim the daycare workers did not report signs of abuse to the toddler or his siblings.
The toddler later died and his guardians are charged in connection to the case.

State officials tell WYMT Mountain News they believe an emergency no longer exists at the daycare, and it was allowed to re-open this week.

However, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services is still working through the appeals process, which includes the correction of any violations cited.

There is no word on when the appeals process will be finished.
