BELFRY, Ky. (WYMT) - Dive teams and a tow truck were required to pull a jeep from Grant Branch Lake Monday night in Pike County.

The jeep belonged to Johnny Lequire.

He says that the jeep rolled away from him while he was fishing at the boat ramp.

The car became completely submerged, and the Pike County Sheriff's dive team had to hook it up to a tow truck.

Lequire's sister says she's glad he was not hurt.

“My brother is very upset over the vehicle, but a vehicle can be replaced. So I'm just thankful that it turned out as well as it did,” said Tammy Hager

The jeep sank on Saturday but officials were not able to get it out until today.
