JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - The search continues for a Johnson County missing couple.

Orange tape ropes off the search area on Paintsville Lake, but as Kim Borowski watches from a distance she hopes for the best.

“I have good days and I have bad days and I'm holding up, day by day,” said Borowski.

Search and rescue crews are continuing the search for her father and step mother Larry and Sandra Blanton.

She says that it is still a shock.

“I've never known him to take a trip, I mean he goes down to his mom’s house some days but he comes back that same day,” said Borowski.

This is the second time crews have searched the lake.

Search dogs led crews to the lake as a point of interest.

“We were able to obtain additional resources with the Blood Hound Search and Rescue from Tennessee,” said Johnson County Emergency Management Director Gary McClure.

Divers said they would be searching one particular point of interest to eliminate all possibilities of finding the Blanton couple.

They have been missing for nearly 6 weeks, but officials and family members aren't giving up, until answers are found.

“If anybody knows any information, we need all the help we can get, to get my dad and his wife home. We would appreciate it very much,” said Borowski.

The Blanton’s son Willie Blanton was arrested on charges related to the case.
