Doctor is indicted

A federal grand jury says a Johnson County doctor conspired to illegally distribute drugs.

Richard W. Albert operated a pain clinic in Paintsville until his office was raided by federal officials.

Albert was indicted Friday on one count of conspiracy to distribute drugs without a legitimate medical purpose.

Albert will be arraigned next week in Pikeville.

He faces up to 20-years in prison if convicted.
