A doctor who worked in eastern Kentucky and was indicted on federal tax evasion charges pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
The IRS arrested 63 year old Werner Grentz on Tuesday.
He allegedly earned six figures yearly between 2005 and 2010 but failed to file tax returns.
Court records indicate Grentz falsely claimed he was exempt from having federal income tax withheld and put his income in bank accounts of companies he controlled.
He faces up to 15 years in prison.
