FLEMINGSBURG, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Department of Highways is advising drivers to travel with caution along U.S. 60 near Morehead due to a forest fire.

State officials said smoke from the blaze has the potential to reduce visibility, especially after dark. The blaze is in Rowan County east of Morehead.

The scene is being monitored by the highway department and local law enforcement and if visibility is significantly reduced, the roadway could be closed. Meanwhile, officials say motorists should slow down and drive carefully.

Fire crews are fighting the blaze.
