Representative Leslie Combs, of Pikeville, is the new chairwoman of the influential Budget Review Subcommittee on Transportation.
Representative Keith Hall, of Phelps, will replace Combs as chairman of the Tourism Development and Energy Committee.
Meanwhile, Representative John Will Stacy, of West Liberty, is the new chairman of the Budget Review Subcommittee on General Government, Finance and Public Protection.
House Speaker Greg Stumbo tells the Herald Leader that geography was not a factor in making the appointments.
