Eastern Kentucky students invited to art competition

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (AP) - U.S. Rep. Harold "Hal" Rogers is urging high school students in his eastern Kentucky district to submit artwork for the Congressional Art Competition.

The winner will have his or her artwork displayed it the Capitol in Washington, D.C., for a year and may also be eligible for a college scholarship.

The deadline for submissions is April 19.

In Rogers' Fifth Congressional District, a winner will be chosen from each of his district offices in Prestonsburg, Somerset and Hazard.
