Eastern Ky. group uses coupons for holiday mission

ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) - A group of eastern Kentucky women are using their coupon prowess to help needy families in the area.

Sabra Back of Ashland told The Independent that she and some co-workers at King's Daughters Medical Center have started a Facebook page called Coupon Club, where families can post needs and get help.

Back said she began meeting in October with just a few co-workers in the hospital cafeteria to share manufacturer's rebates, but now there are more than 100 people who are part of the Coupon Club.

Back says the club donates groceries and other items to area charities in addition to meeting needs that are posted on their Facebook page.
