Eastern KY teacher is named "Teacher of the Year"

An eastern Kentucky middle school teacher is three thousand dollars richer after being named the 2012 Kentucky Teacher of the Year.

Jenni Lou Jackson is a 12 year teaching veteran and has taught Language Arts for the past three years at Corbin Middle School.

Jackson has received numerous awards during her tenure that includes the most caring teacher award.

She is also a candidate for the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.
