Eastern Kentucky hospital to use new accreditation program

An Eastern Kentucky hospital will soon start using a new quality based accreditation program to help improve patient care.

The Floyd County Times Reports Highlands Regional Medical Center will use the program provided by DNV Healthcare.

The service is the first new federally approved accreditation program in more than 30 years.

The program focuses on finding better ways for each department in the hospital to perform certain tasks.
