Emergency cars filled the parking lot of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College in Cumberland Monday morning.
But it was only for a drill.
This is the fourth annual drill, put on by the nursing program at the college. Nursing students said it lets them put what they have learned into action.
"This year it was a shooting. It just prepares us for what we will be doing and seeing in our field and prepares us for a disaster," said Daniel Farmer, who graduates in May.
Law enforcement agencies from across Harlan County participated in the event.
