One restaurant in Perry County showed its appreciation for coal miners across the mountains today.

Jabo's State of Mine Restaurant and Bar in Hazard held a Coal Miners Relief and Appreciation Day for both current and laid off coal miners.

At this event these men and women enjoyed free food, door prizes, and music.

The event was sponsored by several organizations including Coal Mining Our Future and Teco Coal.
