The flood waters are beginning to slowly recede across most of Eastern Kentucky and the snow showers are coming to an end. Roads will remain slick tonight as temperatures drop below zero. LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The Federal Aviation Administration says air traffic control facilities at two small western Kentucky airports will close next month due to budget cuts.
The two airports from Kentucky on a list released Friday are Owensboro-Daviess County in Owensboro and Barkley Regional in Paducah.
The FAA released a list of 149 control facilities that will close due to budget constraints. The FAA is being forced to trim $637 million for the rest of the fiscal year that ends Sept. 30.
