FEMA Disaster Recovery Center will close

FEMA officials say the disaster recovery center in Laurel County, which opened after this month's devastating tornadoes, will close for good this week.

The center at the CD Ward Masonic Lodge on School Street will no longer be open after six o'clock Thursday night.

After that, anyone who needs assistance can still call the FEMA hotline.

Recovery centers will remain open in Johnson, Kenton, Lawrence, Magoffin, Martin, Menifee, Morgan and Pendleton Counties.
