FEMA officials discuss storm preparedness

Emergency managers are talking to people in tornado-damaged communities about the importance of being storm-ready.

FEMA workers in Laurel County say they've talked to hundreds of people about being prepared the next time the weather turns dangerous.

FEMA is also encouraging people to build storm shelter rooms.

Officials say those rooms can be built onto an existing house but not onto a mobile home.
