FEMA is posted up across Eastern Kentucky and arrived in East Bernstadt yesterday morning.
This federal agency is offering assistance for those affected by the recent tornado in Laurel County.
FEMA officials are set up on School Street creating a one stop shop with Red Cross, small business loans, and mitigation available.
The amount of assistance that you could receive is assessed by damages and insurance.
"If they've been damaged at all by the tornado, they need to come in and just ask questions and we'll steer them to the right place," said Joann Cooke, the manager at FEMA's Laurel Coutny site.
FEMA officials will be in East Bernstadt for two to three weeks from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday plus this Sunday.
