Family history workshop to cover digital resources

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - People interested in finding out more about their family history can learn about digital resources at a presentation this weekend by the Kentucky Historical Society in Frankfort.

The free workshop will be at 10:30 a.m. EDT Saturday at the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History in downtown Frankfort and is put on by the Kentucky Historical Society and the Kentucky Genealogical Society.

Genealogist Lise Embley will provide an update on FamilySearch.org, including new features. The afternoon presentation will focus on digital newspaper projects and other digital resources.

To make a reservation, contact the reference desk at (502) 564-1792, extension 4460, or KHSRefDesk(at)ky.gov. The registration deadline is noon Friday. An optional light lunch is available for $6 if requested at the time of registration.
