JOHNSON COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A Johnson County man is now facing charges for the murder of his parents, but some family members say they are worried about a potential deal that could let him out of prison early.

Willie Blanton is accused of killing his parents Larry and Sandara Blanton, and now there is talk of a deal that could release Willie on parole after several years if he pleads guilty. But some of the Blanton's family members do not want willie to ever be released.

For months Sandara's sister Lois Fraley said she just wanted closure and a proper burial for her sister and brother-in-law, but she says after they were found buried behind their barn all she wants is justice.

Family members say when they learned Willie Blanton was indicted for the couple's murders they also learned there is a chance Willie could plead guilty and receive life in prison but with the possibility to be released on parole.

A plea agreement with Willie's girlfriend Amanda Fannin took the death penalty off the table. Some of the Blantons' family members say they did not want the death penalty anyway. They say if Willie is guilty they want him to spend the rest of his life in jail without any option of getting out.

"We as a family feel like life in prison without parole is the only thing that would satisfy us. Willie's taken a lot away from not only Sandy and Larry but our family in general," said Fraley.

Willie Blanton will be arraigned for those charges on April 5. He is in the Boyd County Detention Center on a $100,000 cash bond.
