Joyce Combs's son Phillip Slone remembers very little about being attacked Saturday night. State police say two men hit him over the head, robbed him and stole his car while he was making a pizza delivery in Perry County.
"He walked, blood just streaming, somebody said they found him with a pizza bag wrapped over his head trying to stop the blood," says Combs.
Her son has two broken fingers, is bleeding internally, and is suffering from serious head injuries. Slone is a father of three - soon to be four children. His mother says he's well known in the area and doesn't have an enemy around.
"He is one of the most likable guys anybody could know. He sees no strangers and people love him and I just don't know why these people picked him. He is such a good guy."
State police are still searching for Slone's stolen car and the two men who attacked him. The car is a Silver Dodge Journey with Kentucky tag 454 KZT. If you see the car you're asked to call Kentucky State Police at (606) 435-6069 or (800) 222-5555.
