As the final horn sounded Monday night, stores across the state stocked their shelves with national championship gear.
It was a late night for the Big Blue Nation.
"We were up to the wee hours of the morning watching all the activities going on afterwards,” Charlie Patrick said.
But they wouldn't have it any other way.
Fans feel that in order to bring the championship in right, you have to have the gear.
Just minutes after the game Monday night fans poured into Wildcat Wearhouse to get their hands on National Championship T-shirts.
“After the game last night when the buzzer ended we had over 300 people waiting on us to open up the door and they were after one thing, national championship t-shirts,” Chrissie Napier said.
In the middle of the night fans completely cleared the shelves of all national championship apparel.
Wildcat Wearhouse sold out of shirts, but fans say they are willing to wait… as long as it doesn't take another fourteen years.
Managers at Wildcat Wearhouse say they expect another shipment of shirts.
