Severe weather looks likely later this afternoon. The best chances appear to be between 3 p.m. and Midnight. Damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado or two are possible. The area at the greatest risk for severe weather in eastern Kentucky is in the Cumberland Valley, near the I-75 corridor. Keep it locked here for updates.
One person is dead and another injured after an accident in Clay County.
State police say a truck was traveling south on Kentucky 11 when it left the roadway, went into a ditch, then returned to the road before overturning.
41-year-old Michael D. Hensley of Oneida was thrown out of the truck and died at the scene.
26-year-old Shawn T. Davidson, also of Oneida, received minor injuries.
Neither men were wearing seat belts.
