Father charged after disrupting deputies questioning his children

A father faces charges after sheriff’s deputies say he caused trouble while they were questioning his children.

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says they received many complaints of children shooting a pellet gun and throwing rocks at the home of a woman who’s dealing with cancer.

While questioning the children, deputies say their father, Kevin Mitchell, 43, showed up and created a disturbance.

He’s charged with disorderly conduct, menacing and resisting arrest.
