CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - A 911 call of drunk and naked people in the middle of the road prompted police to head to a Corbin home.
When police arrived at the Laurel County home, they said they found a bunch of drunk teenagers with the adult in bed and clueless to what was going on.
It was 9:30 Friday night and a party at a Corbin home was apparently just getting started and possibly out of control.
A concerned driver called for help when she says the teenaged girls didn’t seem to care they didn’t have any clothes on.
911 CALL
Caller: They’re laying in the road, naked. There’s like 3 or 4 girls and I seen one guy.
Dispatcher: Are they partying there.?
Caller: Yeah, they’re drunk. They’re wasted. And they’re probably, uh, high.
Caller: I pulled over and I said, are you guys OK? And they started laughing and said, yeah . And I said well, you guys need to put some clothes on. And he said, Oh, OK, yeah, we’ll work on it.
Once officers arrived the caller’s assumption was backed up.
They were 14, 15 and 16 year olds. All under the influence of alcoholic beverages,” Gilbert Acciardo said.
Police charged the only adult in the home, 40 year old Glenn Adkins, who they say was asleep and said he didn’t know the kids were running through the streets…naked.
“I want to plead not guilty, all the way across the board,” Adkins said.
Adkins said very little in court but did try to get out of jail, saying he’s supposed to start work this Friday at a Corbin Funeral Home.
The judge kept the bond the same.
Police say one of the girls involved is his daughter.
Adkins declined an offer to give his side of the story from jail.
Adkins is charged with unlawful transaction with a minor, wanton endangerment and endangering the welfare of a minor.
He’ll be back in court next Tuesday.
