Federal grand jury adds charges in alleged vote buying conspiracy

A federal grand jury has added charges in an alleged vote-buying conspiracy involving the school superintendent in Breathitt County.

The Lexington Herald reports a superseding indictment now charges Arch Turner with conspiracy, lying to the FBI, telling someone else to lie to a federal grand jury, and trying to get a witness not to talk.

The indictment also says Turner and John L. Turner conspired with several others in the scheme.

Seven people have already pleaded guilty or have been convicted of vote fraud in connection with the May, 2010 primary.
