Film team will recreate bus crash

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WYMT) - It is one of the deadliest bus crashes in U.S. history.

This weekend, a film team plans to re-enact the 1988 Carrollton bus crash that killed 27 people.

Lexington based filmmaker Jason Epperson is making a documentary on the crash to coincide with the 25th anniversary next May.

The church bus was returning to Hardin County after an outing to Kings Island.

The bus caught fire after it was hit head-on by a drunk driver going the wrong way on Interstate 71.

The film shoot will take place Saturday morning in Clark County.
