DANVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Preparations are underway for the Vice Presidential Debate at Centre College.
In the past few days the campus has been transformed for this event .
Students at Centre College say they are excited to see their school in the national spotlight.
Between the fences, extra security, and media, the small school in Danville is being thrust into the national spotlight.
Class is still in session at Centre College, but some students say just walking around campus is a lesson in itself.
While most students will not be allowed inside the Norton Center to watch the debate live, many will be watching just across the street.
Students say this Vice Presidential Debate has actually increased their interest in the election.
So even though their campus looks a little different, students say this is an experience that is unlike any other in their college career.
Students are finishing up their last day of classes before fall break starts Thursday.
Many of them will be staying on campus so they can watch the Vice Presidential Debate.
