Fine free week at the Perry County public library

PERRY Co., Ky. (WYMT) - It is National Library Week. If you have overdue items lying around you may be in luck. Instead of late fees, librarians are taking food donations.

Perry County librarians say you can return your overdue items without a fee if you bring in food or toiletry
items.

Each item takes $2 off your fine. Adult services librarian, Leah Combs says they would like to see more people come out.

"The library is something we want everybody to use. It's a place for them to come learn and have access to services and we're trying to offer programs that will appeal to everyone and meet everyone's needs," says Combs.

Check out the Perry County Facebook page for a complete list of items to bring.
