HARROGATE, Tenn. (WYMT) - Explosions during a business fire rocked a community in Claiborne County, Tennessee, just a few miles from the Kentucky state line.

The fire burned Hunley Repair Shop in Harrogate on Londonderry Road.

The building is heavily damaged and neighbors say it was a scary morning when they heard explosions from the fire.

The Harrogate Fire Chief called the blast the largest he has seen.

The fire started around six o'clock Monday morning.

Neighbors called 911 and reported hearing explosions at the Hunley Repair Shop.

"So there were some small explosions after the big one," said Lynn Treece who lives on Londonderry Road near the fire.

The Hunley Repair Shop owner says they repair tanker trucks and other vehicles.

Firefighters believe the explosions happened when the fire got to gas and other equipment on the trucks inside.

"It kind of worries you when you're this close and don't know what it is," said Treece.

The roof also collapsed.

No one was injured in the fire.

The business owner says the fire destroyed a tanker, several cars, a motorcycle and a boat.

The business has operated there since 1987 and the owners are unsure what the future holds.

Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The Sheriff's Department evacuated people in one nearby home during the fire as a precaution but they returned home late Monday morning.
