The Harlan County Fiscal Court is considering a nuisance ordinance.
It was discussed briefly at Thursday morning's meeting.
The ordinance would target properties that are abandoned and ensure that properties are correctly maintained.
It would also give the county authority to declare a property a public nuisance and take steps to clean it up.
