Five arrested on meth charges in Ashland

ASHLAND, Ky. (WYMT/WSAZ) - A traffic stop in Ashland ends with five people in jail on meth making charges.

Ashland Police say the three men and two women were arrested at the intersection of Belmont Street and Skidmore Tuesday afternoon.

Lisa M. Adkins, 42, of Catlettsburg, Brett D. Adkins, 44, of Canton, Ga., Nathan C. Ward, 30, of Canton, Ga., Brian K. Adkins, 53, of Ashland, and Rachile N. Elliott, 28, of Ashland, were each charged with one count of manufacturing meth.

Elliott was also charged with possession of a meth precursor.

The five were taken to the Boyd County Detention Center.

Police say additional charges are pending.
