LONDON, Ky. (WYMT)- The Laurel County Sheriff's Department is investigating a car accident that left five people seriously injured.
The crash happened on Kentucky 490, that's eight miles north of London Saturday afternoon. The sheriff's office says 35-year-old Rodney Simpson of East Bernstadt pulled out in front of a Ford Ranger pickup.
Simpson was taken to Saint Joseph Hospital in London. The driver of the pickup 30-year-old Emanuel Gabbard and two passengers were taken to St. Joseph as well. An eight-year-old female was airlifted to UK Hospital, her condition is unknown.
