Another band of snow will move into the region tonight. That plus temperatures into the lower 20s will create slick spots across the mountains. Additional accumulation of up to a half inch is possible in the valleys, while up to an additional inch is possible on the ridges. While significant snow is not expected, we have issued a Severe Weather Alert Day to keep you informed on possible negative impacts to travel through Tuesday afternoon.
FLOYD Co., Ky. (WYMT) - Neighbors living on route 80 in the Rock Fork community of Floyd County cleaned up after flood related damages Monday evening.
Amye O'Quinn said her husband called her around 5 p.m.
He said she would not be able to get in their home.
She and other neighbors said it has not flooded that bad in a long time.
Almost everyone said they are playing a waiting game as they watch the water go down and prepare for more rain this week.
O'Quinn said safety was her priority.
"My neighbor was worried about her dogs and I was worried about if I could get in the house or not, or if we needed to evacuate like we had to do last time," said O'Quinn.
She and other neighbors assisted each other with the cleanup.
