PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A man is behind bars after police say he led them on a chase through Pike County.
State police say they pulled over 30-year-old Gary Fletcher of Jacksonville, Florida for DUI, but he took off and led them on a chase for nearly eight miles on U.S. 23.
They say Fletcher eventually lost control of his car, hit a ditch, and tried to run but was caught.
Police say Fletcher was treated for injuries, then arrested.
He is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence and fleeing or evading police.
