UPDATE 4:40 p.m.

POWELL COUNTY/FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - An Eastern Kentucky sheriff is in trouble with the law.

Floyd County Sheriff John K. Blackburn was arrested in Powell County for allegedly driving drunk along the Mountain Parkway

The police report stated that officers got a call of a reckless driver, and when they responded they saw a Chevrolet Tahoe with "official" tags swerving.

The report said when they pulled him over he said he was only drinking water and was swerving because he was on the phone. It also said he told officers he could not take a field sobriety test because of a medical condition, but when officers gave him a breathalyzer test he registered .202, which is more than twice the legal limit of .08

The report said then Blackburn admitted to officers he was returning from a casino where he had been drinking.

They arrested him and charged him with driving under the influence in a county vehicle.

Blackburn was being held in the Powell County Detention Center but was released on a $2,500 surety bond.
