It happened Thursday night in the Minnie Community as a woman was getting out of her car at her home.

Brenda Hicks has owned the restaurant Brenda's Place in Minnie for 20 years, and says she knows pretty much everyone in the community.

But she says she does not know the man who robbed her Thursday night.

She was getting out of her car at her house when police say a man confronted her with a gun. He demanded her purse and car keys. The man then left the scene in her car.

"It had Onstar on it and we called them and they located the car," said Hicks.

This is the second robbery in this community just this week. Just a few miles down the road, a hardware store was robbed Sunday night.

"It's terrible that in this small of a community that they are hitting us little businesses. We work hard for our money and then they come in and take it at gun point," said Hicks.

She says she will not let this man ruin her life.

"I'm not gonna let no snotty nosed dope head run me away from my home, and from now on someone will be taking me home at night," said Hicks.

She only wants the man caught so no one else will have to go through what she did.

Police are still investigating this robbery and are looking for a male suspect around 5'8". He has a slender build and was wearing camouflage and a green ski mask.
