Temperatures struggled to reach the mid 30s Sunday as flurries flew during the first half of the day. Some locations saw a brief dusting of snow. Another disturbance will stream by to our north, providing eastern Kentucky with another chance for flurries Monday and Tuesday.
The milder conditions moving into the eastern Coalfields will be noticeable by mid-week with plenty of sunshine and high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s on Thursday and Friday.
The same storm system that will pull in temperatures 10 degrees or more above average will also spark widespread rain Friday afternoon and into next weekend. We will be tracking this system through the week.
