Slick roads will greet most folks as you head out the door this morning, so take your time on that commute. Most of the major rivers have started to drop, but there is still some flooding in some areas. Keep it locked to WYMT for updates.
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials in Pikeville gathered Wednesday morning to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
City and county officials joined forces to put together a ceremony in honor of the day.
They held a moment of silence to pray for the victims and gave them all a last call over first responders' radios.
"Pikeville dispatch to all patrols, this is the last call in honor of all responders and victims of the 9/11/2001 attacks that lost their lives. May your memories live on in ceremonies like this every year on Patriot's Day. Rest in peace and God speed."
First responders from throughout the county attended the event.
