Everyone has to brave the cold during the winter months, but some people have to be outside a little bit more.

Whether you stop by for a fill-up or need a new heating unit, chances are you've run into someone working in the cold.

"You just have to tough it out until you can get a glove on later," said Chris Calhan, as he installed a new heating unit, "You get kind of used to the cold temperatures, but it's a job. Somebody has got to work, you know."

"It's kind of unbearable sometimes, but as long as the sun's shining, it's not too bad," said Ishmael Stacy, with Watertown Service Center.

Making sure folks stay warm is not an easy task given these frigid temperatures.

"Just trying to get caught up, roughing the cold weather. Fighting the snow weather and slick roads makes it tough," said Darrell Pennington, with Appalachian Heating and Cooling.

But it is something workers say they have got to do.

"We're used to it. It's just part of the job," said Pennington.

"You kind of get used to it after a while if you do it for a while," said Stacy.

While the snow may be melting, the cold looks like it may be here to stay.

"Try to dress warm, with gloves. And try to take good care of the customers," said Pennington.
