Forest fire continues to burn

MCKEE, Ky. (WYMT) - A fire in the Daniel Boone National Forest continues to burn.

The fire, located north of McKee in Jackson County, has already destroyed more than 100 acres.

Crews from the U.S. Forest Service were called to the scene Sunday afternoon, but the problem grew larger Monday.

Crews are facing some hazards with old trees snapping in half.
No homes have been threatened.
