Former candidate for Johnson County Sheriff pleads guilty to drug charges

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WYMT)- A former candidate for Johnson County Sheriff pleaded guilty to federal drug charges today.

John Kline admitted to knowingly and intentionally distributing a quantity of Oxycodone and a weapons charge.

Prosecutors said Kline sold Oxycodone to an informant and carried a gun during the drug deal. Sentencing for Kline is set for March of 2014.
