Former county employee faces drug charges

McKee, Ky. (WYMT) - A former Jackson County employee, who is also the ex-wife of a former sheriff, is facing drug charges.

The current Jackson County Sheriff says 32-year-old Carrie Fee was arrested Monday and is charged with trafficking a controlled substance.

Sheriff Denny Peyman says she likely won't be the only Jackson County official who could face drug charges.

“The way I look at it is everybody is the same. It doesn't matter if you're elected official. You're still a drug dealer is a drug dealer,” Sheriff Denny Peyman said.

Sheriff Peyman says he's trying to tackle what he calls "30 years of corruption" and a deep-rooted drug problem in Jackson County.
