Former drug court director will not spend time in jail

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - A former Perry County Drug Court Director accused of forgery will not spend any time in jail.

Earlier this year Teresa Huff pleaded guilty to an amended charge of abuse of public trust.

The maximum sentence she could have received was five years behind bars but the Hazard Herald reports it was probated to five years.

She will also be required to pay restitution of $28,000. She has paid $23,000 already.

Prosecutors argued she embezzled more than $10,000 from the Perry County UNITE Coalition.
