Former superintendent will have to wait for sentencing

JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - A former Breathitt County Schools Superintendent will have to wait a little longer to learn his punishment.

Arch Turner pleaded guilty to federal vote buying charges earlier this year.

He admitted to withdrawing cash from his bank account and giving it to other co-conspirators to buy votes.

Turner is facing several years in prison.

He was expected to be sentenced Wednesday, but that was pushed back until November 13th so Turner's attorney could have more time to prepare for concerns with a sentencing issue.
