Former Fire Chief to begin serving time behind bars

A former Southeastern Kentucky Fire Chief will be serving time behind bars.

Former Bald Rock Volunteer Fire Department Chief Anthony Slusher has been ordered to report to the Laurel County Detention Center tomorrow at six PM to begin serving his 30 day sentence after pleading guilty to trafficking marijuana.

Slusher was the Fire Chief and also owned 'Just another Bait Shop' near Laurel Lake when he was arrested for selling marijuana out of the business.

Slusher was removed as Fire Chief but can still serve as a Volunteer Firefighter since the conviction was not a felony.
